Last week, GovSpend teammates from around the world convened at our headquarters in Boca Raton, FL for our annual “GovSpend Gathers” event. Gathers provides the opportunity to reflect on the past year and discuss our strategic roadmap for 2025. As importantly, in an age of remote work, the 2-day event is also a chance to collaborate and socialize. For this reason, I look forward to Gathers every year. Spending time with talented colleagues never fails to inspire and energize me for the year ahead.
2024: A Year of Milestones and Momentum at GovSpend
We began the event with reflections on 2024, a year where we set records for nearly every metric we track – users, product usage, new features released, and new highs for every data metric we’ve ever tracked. Notably, last year we expanded our product capabilities dramatically, employing AI in compelling ways, building out more customization, and delivering solutions to integrate more deeply with our customers.
Keeping our customers at the center of our decision making, we also focused on their entire journey, from prospecting, to trials, to onboarding, and proactive relationship management. I’m proud that we achieved an average Customer Satisfaction score of 9.73 in 2024, a massive improvement and a direct reflection of our focus on understanding our customers’ needs and pain points, creating custom experiences, and delivering insights that help improve business outcomes.
Of course, none of this happens without the hard work and dedication of our greatest asset: our people. At Gathers we took time to recognize the embodiment of our core values, as well as the efforts and achievements of team members in 2024 during our Gathers Award Ceremony.
Looking Ahead: 2025 Strategic Priorities
Building on 2024’s momentum, GovSpend’s 2025 strategy focuses on empowering users with smarter tools and accessible resources, further advancing our data coverage, and scaling innovation. Top priorities include:
- Expanding AI and Automation: Capitalizing on advancements in AI, we’re directing our technology efforts toward providing smarter solutions to improve the user experience, such as delivering semantic search capabilities and surfacing deeper insight across data modules.
- Enhancing the Customer Experience: We are building out more personalizable dashboards and deeper integration capabilities to deliver actionable insights as well as enriching user training through workshops, in-platform tips, and help resources.
- Elevating Data Coverage and Quality: We are investing heavily in our data operations, partnering more closely with government agencies and school districts to expand data coverage across our modules, utilizing AI for cleaner data extraction, and developing tools to further improve data quality and transparency.
