At GovSpend, we’re continuously investing in ways to make your public sector sales process more efficient, data-driven, and impactful. In our latest product webinar, Midyear in Review, Kathryn Sanders, Director of Product Management – Platforms, shared a deep dive into the tools we’ve rolled out recently and previewed powerful capabilities currently in development.

Whether you’re using the GovSpend platform to identify opportunities, qualify leads, or stay ahead of procurement cycles, these enhancements are designed to help you take action faster, with less guesswork.

Here’s everything we covered.

Seamless CRM Integration to Power Your Workflow

We know your CRM is the hub of your business operations. That’s why our CRM integrations with Salesforce and HubSpot are packed with functionality designed to eliminate manual data entry, streamline workflows, and ensure your teams are aligned around the same high-quality government data.

Key enhancements include:

  • Full integration across all five GovSpend modules (Meetings, Bids, Contacts, Contracts, Purchase Orders).
  • Custom field mapping, including dropdown and lookup fields, giving you full control over how data is structured.
  • Multiple integration options: push single records, batch process, or automate via scheduled integrations based on saved searches.
  • New Logging Dashboard: self-service tracking to verify what was pushed, what failed, and why.

“We highly recommend working closely with your team to define your mapping strategy upfront. The more intentional your setup, the more powerful the integration becomes.” – Kathryn Sanders

Not using Salesforce or HubSpot? We’re actively evaluating new CRM partnerships (including Microsoft Dynamics and Zoho). Let your Relationship Manager know what tools you’re using — your input helps shape our roadmap.

AI That Helps You Search Smarter and Act Faster

GovSpend’s greatest strength is its data, but with so much information across so many formats, surfacing what matters can take time. That’s where our new AI features come in.

We’ve embedded AI chat and prompt tools directly into Bids, Meetings, and Contracts, so you can ask targeted questions and get instant, actionable answers without reading every document manually.

What You Can Do Today:

  • Extract key info instantly – Ask: “What products/services are being requested?” or “Who are the attendees?”
  • Summarize lengthy records – Quickly understand the context of multi-hour meetings or complex bids.
  • Generate outreach emails – Use the data to take the next step with minimal effort.
  • Ask custom questions – “Is this bid relevant to a vendor that provides security camera installation and repair?” You’ll get a clear, context-specific response.
  • Track and reuse chats – Your questions and answers are saved and searchable for later reference.

In meetings, the AI can identify mentions of upcoming RFPs, vendor sentiment, and future project plans — insights that are often buried in hours of discussion but can give you a crucial edge before an opportunity hits the street.

“It’s like having a research assistant inside every record. No more guessing whether a contract or meeting is worth your time — just ask.” – Tiffany Grover, Director, Strategic Accounts & Enterprise at GovSpend

Sneak Peek: AI Notebook – Your Cross-Module AI Workspace

While our current AI tools let you analyze one record at a time, we know the real magic happens when you can work at scale. That’s why we’re excited to introduce AI Notebook, currently in beta and rolling out later this year.

What AI Notebook unlocks:

  • Aggregate records from multiple modules into a single project — combine bids, contracts, and meeting records in one place.
  • Ask questions across all records — “Which opportunities are most relevant to my product line?” or “Summarize all mentions of payment system upgrades.”
  • Rank opportunities by relevance — Our AI reviews every document and surfaces the best-fit records for your business.
  • Export insights to CSV — Get a downloadable summary or ranked list to share with your team.

Use AI Notebook to move from data review to decision-making in minutes — all powered by the same AI that supports our record-level tools, now applied at scale.

Usability Upgrades: Small Changes, Big Time-Savers

We’ve also rolled out several high-impact enhancements that make it easier to stay on top of your data:

  •  Alerts for Contacts – You can now create alerts for the Contacts module — just like you can for bids and contracts — and be notified when new agency contacts are added or updated.
  • “Last Modified” Filter for Contacts – To ensure you’re always working with the most current information, contact searches now default to showing results modified within the last 18 months (editable, of course).
  • “Download All” File Option – No more downloading bid files one by one. Use the new “Download All” button to grab everything in a single zip file — available in Bids, Contracts, and Meetings.

Every enhancement we build at GovSpend is rooted in feedback from our users.
