It’s been a big year. From record-setting data growth to the full rollout of AI across the platform, 2025 was all about delivering more of what matters most to our customers: timely insights, expanded coverage, and tools that help you take action faster.
In our annual Year in Review webinar, members of GovSpend’s product and relationship management teams shared the milestones, innovations, and key enhancements that shaped the past year and gave a first look at what’s ahead for 2026. Whether you’re already deep in the platform every day or just getting started, here’s a quick recap of what you need to know.
We Invested in the Data That Matters to You
Paige Mockler, Director of Relationship Management, kicked things off by highlighting how we continued to expand our data based directly on customer feedback.
2025 by the Numbers:
- 23% growth in PO data coverage, thanks to the addition of 10,000+ new agencies
- 11% increase in bid document coverage, now pulling from 29,000+ sources
- 2.5M+ new agency contacts added across all government levels
- 2M+ public meetings transcribed (surpassing our year-end goal of 1.8M)
We’re not just adding more data—we’re adding the right data. From small transit authorities to public hospitals and utilities, we’ve expanded our reach to support region-specific and niche use cases across the board.

AI Is Now Embedded Across Every Module
In 2025, we fully integrated AI across the GovSpend platform—not as a bolt-on, but as a core capability to help you analyze faster, act sooner, and surface better opportunities.
Highlights from Paige’s AI Demo:
- AI-Powered Bid Summaries: Instantly summarize bids, identify quantities, specs, and must-know details.
- Contracts + AI: Understand option years, vendor info, and scope without opening a single PDF.
- Meetings + AI: Surface agencies increasing their budgets—in real time—and learn what those funds are earmarked for.
- Spending + AI: Run instant pricing analysis, by product or vendor, to benchmark the market.
- AI Notebook: Analyze dozens of records at once and prioritize the best-fit opportunities based on your own criteria.
From Chromebooks to cybersecurity, staffing solutions to janitorial supplies, AI gives you the power to cut through the noise and focus on the right leads faster than ever.
GovSpend Federal: Smarter Search, Faster Decisions
Deepak Bhat, Director of Federal Product Management, shared the latest updates to GovSpend’s federal module, built to help users identify and qualify federal opportunities more efficiently.
What’s New:
- Simplified SAM Notice Search with improved filters and relevance ranking
- Document-Level Search: Surface hard-to-find keywords buried in PDFs
- Incumbent Identification: Instantly spot who currently holds the contract
- AI for Federal: Use the AI panel to summarize RFIs, highlight key requirements, and save time
Deepak also previewed contract summary pages, coming soon, to give you a quick snapshot of total spending, key vendors, and transaction history without needing to build a spreadsheet.
CRM Integration: Send Data Where Your Teams Work
GovSpend’s CRM integration with Salesforce and HubSpot, led by Kathryn Sanders, Director of Product Platforms, is built to close the gap between insights and action.
What It Does:
- Push bids, contacts, contracts, meetings, and more directly into Salesforce or HubSpot
- Manually or automatically sync new records from saved searches
- Include direct links to source documents and agency contacts
- Customize mappings to match your workflows
As Kathryn said, “We want to meet you where you already work. That means less switching tabs, and more action—faster.”
Unified, Enriched Agency Data
Behind the scenes, one of our most impactful 2025 releases was our agency data standardization project.
What that means for you:
- Consistent agency naming across bids, contracts, spending, and contacts
- Expanded filters: NCES IDs, enrollment numbers, population counts, and more—now available everywhere
- Cleaner exports, better analysis, and easier cross-module navigation
You can now filter and prioritize K–12, municipalities, counties, and higher ed targets using real-world data points, such as enrollment size and population thresholds.
AI Search: Find What Matters, Just by Asking
Bradley Scott, GovSpend’s Chief Product Officer, wrapped up the session with a live demo of AI Search, our newest way to discover relevant insights—no advanced filtering or search syntax required.
Example Use Cases:
- “Show me expiring contracts for online learning tools in my region.”
- “Which agencies in the Northeast spent $50K+ on Darktrace last month?”
- “Are there any federal grants these agencies might be eligible for?”
AI Search turns plain-language questions into actionable results using your sales territory, product focus, and market. It even connects to open web data for added context.
Bonus: Coming in 2026, you’ll be able to access AI Search directly from Slack, Copilot, or wherever your team already works.
Coming Soon: Opportunity Dashboard
In Q1 2026, we’ll be rolling out the Opportunity Dashboard, a personalized experience that surfaces top leads automatically, based on your profile and sales goals.
Each opportunity will include:
- Relevance score and summary
- Links to agency records and source docs
- Estimated deal size (in development)
- Direct export to CRM or Slack
No searching. No filters. Just signal-rich opportunities delivered straight to your dashboard or inbox.
